Incident, Fraud & Claims Investigators
An investigators work is varied and interesting and is made up of several tasks. The percentages below are a current reflection on the breakdown of work for a typical investigators working year.
|
Forensic Road Traffic Collision Investigation
|
This discipline is typically for highly trained professionals with many years training and experience behind them and not something which new investigators will be required to undertake. Police forensic investigators will be called to the scene of a serious or fatal road traffic collision investigation and gather evidence with a view to prosecuting a party with careless or dangerous driving for example, if there has been a breach in the Road Traffic Act.
On the odd occasion a defendant solicitor believes that there may be a case for a defence, they will engage an independent forensic investigator (usually a retired ex-police collision investigator) to review the evidence and put forward any counter arguments which could lessen a charge.
